Dan and Blair both have changed for the worse this season. What I hated most was how he portrayed Serena in The Inside and then proceeded to be an ass to her in real life. It's sad that the girl who once was his everything now seems to be less than a piece of garbage to him. I understand the whole being exes, and even the not loving her back but neither gives him the right to treat her the way he is treating her right now.

Ugh, it’s tragic. Even if they are exes and he no longer loves her the way he once did, doesn’t mean he should just forget how big of an impact she had on his life.  It’s so upsetting.

I just now realized that I agree with you about Dan and how it's almost unforgivable what he has done :( The Humphrey's have issues. Jenny said she wouldn't lose herself in their world and look what happened to her. And even though Dan lasted longer in staying himself I see him slipping. I think that unless he turns his attitude around soon, he'll never ever be able to get Serena back. She has grown into such a strong person and Dan was her one weak spot. I don't think she can take much more :'(

Agreed.  Jenny and Dan both said they would remain true to themselves even whilst in the UES, but obviously that didn’t come to pass.  Both have changed as a result of their participation in all things UES.  I wish that Dan hadn’t started changing so much because he was such a great guy, albeit kind of snarky and opinionated at times.  But now, we’ve sort of lost him and I don’t think he deserves Serena anymore.

Josh Schwartz is an evil man. He did the one thing I thought could never happen - make me lose hope in Dan/Serena. Even if somehow, everything turned in our favor, I don't think I'd want Serena to forgive Dan anymore. It's just too damaged. :( I feel so sad for our little shipper hearts.

Yeah. Unfortunately, they pretty much destroyed Dan/Serena for the sole purpose of making Dan/Blair happen.  And as you said, if Dan does realize he really actually loves Serena, I don’t think Serena should take him back or forgive him.  She needs to remain strong.  I don’t think it’ll feel right anymore.

It’s okay, we’ll always have season 1 and 2, and a few episodes in each other season.
